Over the past week, I wrote three articles – Russian Roulette – The Death Of The PA Republican Party By Its Own Hand, Russian Roulette Pt 2 – A Coalition of Patriot Groups Takes Action While County GOPs Put 5 Rounds in the Revolver And Begin To Pull The Trigger, and Russian Roulette Pt 3 – Inaction Results In PA County GOPs Suiciding The PA GOP – regarding numerous PA county GOPs that have been investigating committeemembers, holding hearings, and removing duly elected committeemembers simply because those committeemembers supported unendorsed Republican candidates or refused to support an endorsed candidate. Even though these committeemembers are the workhorses of the Party every election cycle, a number of county GOPs see them as a threat because they didn’t rollover and just support whomever the establishment decided would be the anointed…err…endorsed one.
As I reviewed in my third article that was posted on Sunday, Cumberland County Chairman Lou Capozzi, in the absence of any legal authority, “suspended indefinitely” seven members, “permanently removed” one member and suspended another member until the November election. Beyond the fact, as I’ve reviewed in my prior articles, that a county cannot have a bylaw provision allowing for removal of committeemembers for supporting a Republican candidate – regardless of endorsed status – in the primary, last year when a proposed bylaw amendment was offered to purportedly provide for removal in such occasion, the proposal was defeated.
And then late last night, I became aware of the following text message by Chairman Capozzi, wherein he equates the ousted members and their supporters to “Antifa” and refers to them as “intolerant” and a “cancer,” while in the same breath contending that he, and those like him, are “the adults in the room…” You literally cannot make this stuff up, folks…

Given that these actions are not only unsupportable under the law and the State Republican Bylaws but go against the purpose of the direct primary system and our Republic ideals, I truly hope our statewide judicial candidates will decline to attend Chairman Capozzi’s meet-and-greet at his home and will issue statements condemning the action taken.
In further developments, I have become aware, through numerous sources, of Chairman Tabas scheduling a call with all GOP county Chairs for tomorrow, which has also now been reported on by HBG100. I am truly hopeful that Chairman Tabas intends, during the call, to take action by telling those county GOPs that have removed members or started scheduling hearings to immediately cease and desist such practice and to immediately reinstate any removed members, since that is the only way to begin to unite our Party in advance of the November election.
