ACSL and FOAC Issue Joint Press Release Regarding City of Pittsburgh’s Anti-Gun Proposals at the Public Hearing

Just a short while ago, Allegheny County Sportsmen’s League and Firearm Owners Against Crime (FOAC) issued a joint Press Release condemning the City of Pittsburgh for its consideration of three unlawful firearm proposals and vowing to take “all appropriate and necessary legal action,” including the filing of private criminal complaints, against all elected officials that enact the Proposals.

One of my favorite lines in the Press Release is

In response to Mayor Peduto’s and Councilman O’Connor’s statements that, as elected officials, they are above the law and immune from prosecution, Stolfer quipped, “I guess they’re unaware of former Attorney General Kathleen Kane or the dozen of state representatives, like Representative Vaness Brown, who have been prosecuted and convicted. I’m sure the Mayor and City Council Members will find themselves with likeminded individuals, wearing orange, in the near future.”

If you have a a couple minutes, it is definitely worth the read.

If you are in a position to be able to support these matters, ACSL and FOAC would greatly appreciate donations, which can be made online through the Firm’s escrow account here – https://secure.lawpay.com/pages/civilrightsdefensefirm/trust. Simply place “ACSL/FOAC Pittsburgh Preemption Litigation” in the reference box.

If you or someone you know has been the victim of an unlawful municipal firearm or ammunition regulation or ordinance, contact FICG today to discuss your options.
